Георгин — род многолетних травянистых растений семейства сложноцветных, с клубневидно утолщёнными корнями. Соцветие — корзинка, состоит из большого количества трубчатых и язычковых цветков или одних язычковых, очень разнообразных по окраске. Известно около 15 дикорастущих видов, распространённых в Мексике и Гватемале. В культуре в Европе Георгин появился в конце XVIII в. Имеется свыше 8000 сортов, полученных гибридизацией. Размеры соцветий от 3 до 35 см. В декоративном садоводстве Георгин применяют для одиночных и групповых посадок, используют и для срезки.

Cultivation:
Open up the cap and water drainage outlet at can bottom, add water into the pot until wet enough and let the excessive water flow out from bottom. The ideal temperature for budding is 10-29°C at about 5-10 days. Give sufficient sunlight during the budding period, Water once a day or every two days during the growing period ,keep one healthy baby bud in the pot for cultivation. The rest can be planted elsewhere. It takes about 12-13 hebdomad to have blossom. If the sunlight is not good enough, it is prone to causing plant fall down or bad blossom. Do not plant it at indoor. When the calyx is formed, it can be moved to indoor for appreciation.
